Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Clinical Pharmacist in the Pharmacy department to ensure timely and accurate medication administration, IV solutions, and adherence to hospital policies. You will supervise pharmacy technicians and externs, and participate in performance improvement and disaster readiness.

You will evaluate therapeutic rationale of orders, educate staff, manage Pyxis/Meditech systems, monitor inventory, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Current Massachusetts Pharmacy License by hire date.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate therapeutic rationale of medication orders and educate staff as needed.
• Adhere to clinical pharmacy protocols and perform dose adjustments.
• Supervise technicians and interns and participate in performance improvement.
• Manage inventory and ensure timely dispensing of medications and IV administration.
