UTMB Health in Galveston invites applications for a Clinical Staff Pharmacist in the Galveston Ambulatory Pharmacy. This role supports integrated drug distribution and clinical services for patients and health care staff.

The position is up to 19 hours per week, weekdays 8am–6pm with some weekends, and does not include benefits. A PharmD or BS Pharmacy with Texas licensure or eligibility is required, plus at least one year of retail experience.

• Pharmacy degree or PharmD and Texas license or eligibility.
• One or more years of retail pharmacy experience.

• Interprets orders and ensures therapy is appropriate for diagnosis.
• Compounds and dispenses ambulatory prescriptions per physician orders.
• Counsels patients and provides drug information to care teams.
• Detects and reports Adverse Drug Events as needed.
• Maintains patient medication profiles and care plans.
• Supervises staff and participates in training.
