Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Part-time Nutrition Aide to join the dietetics team. You will assist with patient care by coordinating menu selections and educating patients with moderately complex diets, while maintaining accurate patient information in our software.

Key duties include processing diet orders, updating patient data, and preparing appropriate tray tickets. This role values customer service, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience; customer-facing service on phone or in person.
• Basic Diet and nutrition knowledge.
• CRT credentials required within 90 days of hire or as specified.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone and processes diet orders, special diets instructions, transfers, discharges and guest tray information.
• May screen diet order for accuracy.
• Updates and maintains patient data files within the software system/database.
• Assembles tray tickets/menus, verifies consistency with the system, and adjusts as needed.
• May write special diets as needed.
