Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice in the Dental Hygiene program for autumn and spring semesters. This part-time, 9-month role focuses on teaching, clinical supervision, and laboratory oversight for pre-clinical and patient care sessions.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene, be licensed in Ohio, and demonstrate commitment to diversity and student success. Graduate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene is required.
• Ohio dental hygiene licensure current and able to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation per OSDB requirements.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and clinical practice.
• Graduate degree in dental hygiene or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach pre-clinical and laboratory sessions and evaluate student work using rubrics.
• Provide hands-on clinical supervision and education to students during patient care and lab sessions.
