Job summary

The University of Utah Health - Academics is seeking a Clinical Exercise Assistant (Work-Study) to support patients with therapeutic exercise regimens at the Salt Lake City campus. This part-time role involves aerobic conditioning, strength training, stretching, and balance activities under supervision.

Enrollment in health-related studies is expected; a background check may be required. Up to 15 hours per week with a daytime work schedule and on-campus duties.

Qualifications

• Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of related work experience.
• Clinical Assistant levels I/II/III require varying years of related experience: I: none, II: 1 year, III: 3+ years.
• Preferences: students majoring in health related fields or experience in rehabilitation services and exercise training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with chronic disease and disability with therapeutic exercise regimens, including aerobic conditioning, strength training, active and passive stretching, and balance and ambulation.
• The position may also include clerical duties such as exercise data entry in patient records.
