Ft. Walton/ Valparaiso - Evening Part Time Cleaner

Commercial cleaners play a key role in our growth and customer retention by consistently providing quality cleaning services to our valued customers.

Compensation
  • $15.00 per hour-paid weekly!

  • Start accruing paid time off (PTO) on day 1 (available for use after 90 days)
Location: Valparaiso with 20 hours available total weekly Monday-Friday 6pm-10pm estimated start and finish times.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Utilize the client’s customized commercial cleaning checklist to perform all tasks to the standards established.
  • Common tasks include:
    1. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum and/or hand scrub floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners.
    2. Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilet, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. in restrooms, break rooms and/or kitchenettes.
    3. Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen as well as empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas.
    4. Wipe down walls and woodwork, doors, wall hangings, baseboards, etc.
  • Arrive to work (client location) at scheduled time, perform services to established standards and ensure the client’s facility is locked and secured when you finish and leave.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reporting.
Skills and Competencies
  • Detail oriented – pays attention to details at each customer’s location, with extra attention to any special requests.
  • Friendly and Professional – able to deal with customers when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed.
  • Self-starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.
  • Reasoning ability. Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a service environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Background check is mandatory, and a clear record is essential.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English to effectively relay information among the team, customers, and office staff.
  • Physical demands include walking and standing, climbing, bending, kneeling to clean floors by hand, push and pull objects, lift and move objects (including 20 lb. vacuum), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements.
  • Candidates must be able to identify and address areas that require cleaning, including dust, dirt, and debris, to maintain our standards of cleanliness.
  • Candidates must be able to move between various locations efficiently, using means that ensure timely task completion.
  • Proficiency in conveying information clearly to groups of employees through verbal or other accessible communication methods.
  • Travel to/from job sites is required.
  • Uniforms must be worn during work hours.
