Job summary

Second Baptist School University-Model (SBSUM) seeks a part-time Pre-K4-4th grade Classical Classroom Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The role requires using classical teaching techniques, integrating Biblical principles, and modeling a daily walk with Jesus Christ in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong Christian testimony and a calling to serve as a positive Christian role model to all students.
• Knowledge and experience in early childhood/elementary education.
• A heart to provide exceptional customer service to all members of the community.
• Desire to lead and support school-wide initiatives and fundraising efforts as able.
• CPR certified, or willing to receive training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate classical learning.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests in accordance with long range plans.
• Demonstrate mastery of the subject material assigned and communicate clearly to parents.
• Instruct classically and monitor students’ learning, managing behavior with biblical discipline.
• Update records (lesson plans, LRPs) accurately and completely as required by administration.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide feedback, attend meetings and trainings.
