Shift: Monday-Friday, (7am-1pm or 1pm-5pm)

Pay: $26.00/hr

Reports To: Service Center Manager

Job Summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking Class B drivers with a passion for customer service and a safety-first mindset to join our team. The CDL B position involves operating a company vehicle to transfer freight safely and efficiently to and from specified locations by designated times. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading freight manually or with mechanical assistance. All required government and company paperwork must be completed accurately.

Essential Job Duties

1. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
2. Deliver and/or pick up freight at customer locations or terminals as directed by dispatch or supervisor.
3. Ensure all shipping documentation is prepared for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments.
4. Load and unload freight onto and off company vehicles at customer sites and terminals, using mechanical aid when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

1. Valid Class B CDL.
2. At least 21 years of age.
3. One year of commercial driving experience.
4. No DUI or DWI convictions in the past 3 years.
5. No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
6. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain; renewals reimbursable.

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to maneuver freight weighing up to 2,500 pounds onto and off equipment, with or without mechanical aid.
• Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet.
• Capability to perform vehicle hooking/unhooking, operate various levers, and perform vehicle maintenance checks.
