Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church; must be in full communion with the Catholic Church
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written; excellent human relations and interpersonal skills
• Exercise courtesy to fellow employees, parishioners, and the public
• Must be a self-starter; well organized; perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work with a sense of urgency

Responsibilities

• Adhere to a cleaning schedule to ensure the church and school are clean and maintained in an orderly fashion
• Perform general custodial duties including cleaning and light maintenance of parish and office facilities
• Assist grounds person on an as-needed basis
• Perform scheduled monthly, semi-annual, or annual janitorial duties such as floor waxing, painting, window washing, carpet cleaning
• Provide set-up and cleaning of facilities for all activities as directed
