Job summary

Holy Redeemer Parish in Burton, MI seeks a part-time Janitor/Custodian (≤19 hrs/week) reporting to the Business Manager. Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, event setup, and minor repairs, with occasional weekend hours and non-exempt status.

Education: High School or GED. Two years in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred; must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable lifting 50 lbs. Practicing Catholic preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, mop, and wax floors to keep them clean.
• Empty trash, collect recycling and maintain bathrooms per guidelines.
• Set up and break down tables and chairs for events.
• Clean and service custodial equipment; perform minor repairs.
• Report hazards; keep grounds clean and orderly.
