Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrate healthy vocal and choral technique.
• Skill in sight-singing and ability to prepare music outside of rehearsal.
• Ability to maintain a pleasant attitude and engage with parishioners, choir members, and other staff with respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide musical leadership for all Thursday night rehearsals (7-8pm), Sunday morning Eucharists, major feast days (including Christmas Eve and Easter Day), choral evensongs, compline, Holy Week services, and other services as scheduled
• Arrive on time and musically prepared for all calls
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in all interactions
• Occasional solo singing will be expected
• Find substitutes for any absences in consultation with the Organist and Choir Director; substitutes may need to attend some Thursday rehearsals prior to services
• Adhere to all church policies regarding employee conduct, including submitting to a background check and completing and maintaining certification for all applicable Safe Church, Safe Communities trainings
