Job summary

Mad Science of WI IL & MI is seeking individuals to deliver engaging, hands-on science experiences after school in Novi, MI. You will drive between sites in your own car and lead immersive lessons for youth in Pre-K to 6th grade after a comprehensive training program.

The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule (2–5 days, 2:30 pm–5:30 pm) with pay starting at $20 per hour. Join a team that loves science and making learning fun for children.

Qualifications

• Flexible, creative, engaging and have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Love children, science, teaching and/or acting.
• Own a car and can travel to assigned sites.
• Comfortable with non-traditional, gig-economy schedules and autonomy.
• Willing to try new things and embrace variety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with youth.

Responsibilities

• Drive to a school, daycare, or park and rec in your own car.
• Lead immersive and interactive science lessons (workshops, day camps, week-long camps), after extensive paid training.
