Job summary

Right At School is hiring an Educator in Washington to lead before/after school activities and break camps. You will deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and help children learn through play, while maintaining a safe environment.

Must be available Monday through Friday for both shifts, with a schedule that adapts to program needs. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plan, and family-friendly perks.

Qualifications

• Proof of High school diploma/GED required.
• FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB, and Food Handlers Card compliance required.
• 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities and document attendance.
• Deliver our daily curriculum to engage children in academics and character-building.
• Model positive guidance and maintain safety and attention; support homework completion and activities.
• Maintain clear communication with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
• Model classroom management and foster a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding progress and team accountability.

$21.57-$22.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

You’ll Drive The Mission By

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
