Job summary

Right At School is hiring an Educator for our after-school program in Vancouver, WA. The role focuses on delivering engaging daily activities, supporting learning, and supervising safe play from 2:40pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of child experience, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to lift 25 lbs. Proof of HS diploma or GED is required; CPR/FA and background checks may be needed.

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and meet program eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities and document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children and expand school day learning.
• Model positive guidance and maintain safety and well-being of all children.
• Support homework completion, lead fitness activities, and supervise play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for progress and accountability.

Educator Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Monday-Friday, must be available all 5 days After School Shift: 2:40pm-6pm

Actual schedule will be based off needs of the programs

You’ll drive the mission by:

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
