Discovery Point Hamilton Mill in Dacula, GA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our childcare team. Schedule is Monday–Friday, Part-Time at our center located at 2380 Hamilton Mill Pkwy, Dacula, GA 30019.

The role involves assisting the lead teacher with daily activities, supervising children, and maintaining a clean, safe classroom in compliance with Georgia licensing and center policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous childcare or daycare experience is preferred.
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work consistently during the scheduled hours.
• Must enjoy working with young children and be comfortable actively interacting with them throughout the day.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and follow directions.
• Must be willing to complete required background checks and childcare training.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.
• Engage with children through play, conversation, songs, reading, and age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with meals, snacks, diapering/toileting, and other daily care routines as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
• Follow classroom schedules and center policies.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, management, children, and families.
• Assist with transitions, playground time, and other classroom duties.
• Complete required cleaning and closing responsibilities.
• Follow all Georgia childcare licensing and center health and safety requirements.
