Job summary

JCC Greater Boston is seeking a part-time Child Development Specialist in Newton, MA. The CDS will provide developmental support to children 0-3 and collaborate with parents, teachers, and outside agencies to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, experience with Early Intervention, and strong communication and organizational skills. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and is in-person at the Godine Early Learning

Qualifications

• Master’s Level degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Child Development, Developmental Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Two or more years experience in a related field; early childhood teaching preferred.
• Experience with Early Intervention required.

Responsibilities

• Provide developmental support to children and families through assessment, planning, consultation, referrals, and staff support.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and outside professionals to support child development.
• Assess 3-year-old students using ESI-R and share findings with families and teachers.
• Develop written IEP-like plans outlining strategies and goals.
• Offer training and resources to families and center staff.
• Support the Director in daily operations and program activities.
