Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Child/Adolescent Psychologist (20 hours/week) to join our acute inpatient psychiatric team. You will diagnose and treat children and adolescents under supervision, with emphasis on psychological testing and discharge planning.

The role requires a Doctorate in Psychology, license in NJ, and demonstrated experience in inpatient pediatric settings, including internship in relevant areas.

Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate in Psychology
• Active experience working with children in acute inpatient psychiatric settings
• Internship completed in clinical child, school psychology, adult clinical, and/or pediatric psychology
• Post-doctoral training and/or experience in child maltreatment or forensic psychology
• Competence in performing the comprehensive psychological testing suite listed above

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat mental disorders independently. Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations using assessment tools.
• Perform targeted psychological testing for children to aid differential diagnostics and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to integrate testing outcomes into patient care and discharge plans.
• Serve as liaison to community and governmental agencies for victims of child maltreatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with laws, policies, and ethics.
• Pursue professional development and conferences to identify patient needs and modify care.
