Job summary

Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) in Maryland is seeking a licensed psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services to children and adolescents in a juvenile detention center setting. Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and Maryland license.
• 5+ years psychiatry experience in youth/jail setting.
• Fellowship in child/adolescent psychiatry preferred.
• Trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
• Proficiency with MARs and psychopharmacology.
• Excellent communication and background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnose youth.
• Develop treatment plans with psychotherapy and medications.
• Coordinate with nursing for medication administration.
• Review MARs, labs, and medical records with staff.
• Perform AIMS assessments with tele-psychiatry support.
• Provide 24/7 on-call emergency psychiatry.
• Deliver face-to-face consultations within 1 hour of request.
• Attend clinical staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
