About us

Handspring has set out to rebuild the pediatric behavioral health system from the ground up. We are a team of diverse, mission-driven, and passionate individuals dedicated to making quality mental healthcare accessible to all young people.

We're seeking part-time remote Therapists in Pennsylvania to join our diverse, mission-driven, and collaborative team.

Join our fully remote team as a part-time therapist, earning guaranteed minimum compensation and a competitive hourly rate. Benefit from paid supervisor consultation time, paid admin time, malpractice insurance coverage, CEU coverage, paid sick time, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on youth mental healthcare.

Compensation

You will be employed as a W2 employee with an hourly rate

  • $65–$75 per hour for client therapy sessions

  • $25 per hour for administrative tasks, including weekly supervision, clinical documentation, onboarding time, and other required administrative work

To ensure financial stability, Handspring guarantees a minimum payment of 7 hours per week

You will also be eligible for an annual increase in your hourly rate based on your performance

Expected time commitment

The role requires availability to manage a caseload of at least 15 clients per week. Opportunity to take on additional clinical hours and/or eventually transition to a full-time position

  • Clinical hours can be between

    • Monday-Thursday: 4:00pm-8:30pm est

    • Friday: 4:00pm-6:00pm est

    • Saturday: 10:00am-1:00pm est

  • Actual hours worked may vary based on client scheduling, patient demand, and operational needs

You’ll have the flexibility to pursue other professional opportunities, as Handspring does not have exclusivity requirements

What you’ll do

  • Provide weekly psychotherapy using CBT and other evidence-based practices to children ages 8-17 and young adults over age 18 years, as well as parent training and support

  • Participate in weekly case consultations, weekly team consultations, peer-only huddles, and ongoing professional development programming. These programs offer opportunities for you to engage and collaborate with other therapists

  • Complete clinical notes and documentations in a timely manner

  • Communicate with your client’s pediatricians, school counselors, and other members of their family, as needed

Who we are looking for:

  • Licensed mental health professionals with at least 3 years post-graduate experience providing psychotherapy

  • Active unrestricted license in Pennsylvania

    • Required license types: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Ability to work independently with a strong interest in collaboration and learning

  • Clinical experience working with young people and their families

  • Knowledge of and/or some training in evidence based mental health treatments

  • Comfort with using and learning new technologies, including Zoom, Office, electronic health record systems, and other team collaboration tools

  • Must not have opted out of Medicare and must be willing to be cross-licensed in additional states
