Job summary

JBS USA, through Pilgrim’s division, seeks an experienced CDL driver to transport poultry products and eggs to contract growers and facilities. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload chicks, ensure ventilation and fans function, and maintain schedules at multiple farms.

Requirements include a valid Class A license, a clean driving record with 3+ years experience, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and willingness to work in outdoor/indoor environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A driver’s license is required.
• Must possess a good driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates commercial trucks safely and with a conscious effort to transport fragile loads.
• Operates forklift loading trucks at contract growers in a safe & efficient manner.
• Pre-trip inspections.
• Loading and unloading of chicks.
• Make sure fans and ventilation are working properly.
• Pick up eggs from each grower farm twice a week and keep consistent schedule for each farm.
• Loading and unloading of eggs.
• Truck should be unloaded, washed, and disinfected by end of each day.
• Performs equipment inspections to maintain compliance with CSA 2010 and reports problems.
• Follows packers and stock yards guidelines for weighing live poultry.
• Follows truck tarping guidelines during inclement weather.
• Observe & enforce all company policies.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere and cooperates with customers and teams.
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving.
• Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks and enforces safe work habits.

The role of a CDL driver serves the company by transporting commercial goods and materials and deliver as instructed with a primary focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Operates commercial trucks safely and with a conscious effort to transport fragile loads

Driver may be asked to drive for other hatcheries, feedmill, live haul, move pullets, move loaders, etc.
