Job summary

Concorde Education in Florida is seeking a part-time Chess Teacher to plan and facilitate an extracurricular chess course for students across elementary to high school. You will coordinate with the Director of Educational Development to create engaging sessions.

You will develop a curriculum covering chess movement, strategy, and gameplay, help students prepare for competitions, model positive academic behavior, and adapt instruction for diverse learner needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Extensive knowledge of chess.
• Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to think critically and adapt instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate chess sessions for students.
• Develop a chess curriculum covering movement, strategy, and gameplay.
• Meet regularly with the Director of Educational Development.
• Guide students toward chess competitions.
• Model appropriate academic and social behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
