Job summary

SUNY Erie Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct in Chemistry to teach courses, prepare syllabi and instructional materials, and evaluate student performance. The adjunct will report to the Department Chair, maintain organized classrooms, and contribute to an inclusive College environment.

Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, ensuring learning outcomes are met, and maintaining records while collaborating with colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in area of specialization plus 30 credit hours of advanced study.
• Ability to prepare lesson plans, syllabi, and outcomes.
• Experience teaching at the college level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach department courses on a part-time basis.
• Evaluate student performance according to department guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and submit data to department.
