Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout experience and help customers maximize value at the register. You’ll answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, and help keep the store clean and welcoming.

Most of your time will be at the register, with opportunities to assist other departments, stock shelves, and support customers in a dynamic retail environment. Eligible for benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic are required.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer and inputting data.
• Lift 10 lbs unassisted or 15 lbs with assistance as needed.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash register, payments and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and help maintain a safe, clean workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
