Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking part-time chaplains to serve employees and their families within a 30-mile radius of San Martin, CA. This field role involves weekly site visits, confidential pastoral discussions, and supporting workplace wellness through Christian ministry.

Responsibilities include visiting worksites, providing crisis support, and coordinating with clients on compassionate care. Flexible hours and a faith-based environment are core aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in interdisciplinary group and interfaith setting.
• Ability to listen and interact with clients, employees, and families; deliver community presentations.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian lifestyle and ministry values.
• Excellent diplomacy, patience, courtesy with diverse groups and superior customer service.
• Strong oral and written communication; maintain emotional stability under stress.
• Analytical thinking to define problems and follow up on objectives.
• Proficient with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and similar software.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a messenger of faith and mission to employees and families.
• Interacts with companies and employees with integrity and care.
• Visits work sites weekly to build trust and relationships.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions and referrals as needed.
• Assists in planning or attending funerals and provides follow-up support.
• May provide post-termination care for laid-off employees.
• Represents ministry services to clients during events and crises.
• Supports new employee orientation about Employee Care Service.
