Job summary

Chaplain Part-Time Monument, NM with MCHAP provides spiritual care to employees and families, delivering compassionate pastoral support and crisis guidance at client sites in Monument, NM.

The chaplain will visit worksites weekly, offer confidential counseling, and assist in funerals or grief support as needed, while upholding Christian values and interfaith sensitivity in a remote field environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interfaith setting with diverse groups.
• Strong listening and written communication, compassionate care.
• Pastoral care experience and crisis support.
• Christian ministry alignment with MCHAP's values.
• Strong in confidentiality and ethical judgment.
• Proficient in planning visits and coordinating with teams.
• Ability to use Google Suites and MS Office.
• Valid state driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites (usually weekly) to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues and family matters.
• Assists in planning, conducting or attending funerals for employees and their immediate family members.
• May make jail visits to employees and immediate family members.
• Responds to emergencies and supports employees during difficult times and grief periods.
• Represents the company to clients when ministry services are applicable.
• Participates in new employee orientation to explain Employee Care Service.
