Job summary

LearnWell in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a passionate teacher for a part-time role during the 2026-2027 school year. The position supports child and adolescent patients in a small classroom within a behavioral health facility.

The role involves planning daily lesson plans, providing individualized student support, and communicating progress. Schedule is 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–1pm, with a generous PTO package and comprehensive benefits including health care and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• NJ Standard teaching license (CE and CEAS do not meet the requirements).
• Comfortable working with K-12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Class sizes range from 8 to 15 students.
