Job summary

Partners Behavioral Healthcare seeks a part-time Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join the Duluth outpatient substance use disorder program. The CPRS will provide peer recovery support, advocacy, and mentoring, helping clients overcome stigma and barriers on their recovery journey.

Responsibilities include coordinating with counselors, scheduling sessions, documenting services, and assisting with housing and resource access. Must maintain HIPAA compliance and attend weekly meetings.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations for health care.
  • Organized and capable of gathering data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with primary counselor to determine peer recovery support needs.
  • Schedule appointments and enter services in electronic health record system (Ritten).
  • Document services provided, time, and type of services.
  • Collaborate with counselors weekly to support mutual clients.
  • Record ongoing progress toward accessing services and outcomes.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and treatment consultations.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • Follow 245G requirements and PBH policies; ensure weekly documentation.
  • Help clients create a financial plan for housing and coordinate with housing management.
  • Maintain relationships with community resources (food shelves, non-profits).
  • Uphold pro-social behaviors and log supervision hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
