LEARN Academy is seeking a School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a short-term leave coverage starting January 2027. You will deliver direct therapy to students, collaborate with teachers, and align OT strategies with the educational program.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Maintain AZ COTA license requirements.
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint card.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving functional abilities.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies.
• Assisting in adapting learning environments and materials to boost participation.
• Contributing to IEP process with insights on student progress and interventions.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.

• Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the educational curriculum.
• Assisting in the adaptation of learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
• Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy.
