Job summary

Dalton Square is seeking Certified Medication Technicians to provide medication administration and resident care oversight in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Dalton, GA. This part-time, 1st shift position emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to state regulations.

You will work with residents, families and staff, complete documentation, and maintain HIPAA confidentiality while following community policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Must complete a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and speech in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Ability to care for seniors while maintaining safety and confidentiality.
• Team-oriented with good collaboration with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Promotes and protects residents rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and education programs and continues education as required.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information following HIPAA guidelines.
• Documents in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Reports changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor promptly.
• Operates equipment safely and adheres to training.
• Performs infection control precautions and practices.
• Follows fire and emergency procedures and reports safety violations.
• Works schedules and tasks in accordance with community policies.
