Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for part-time shifts. Join our 171-bed long-term care skilled nursing community and support residents with daily living activities, medication administration, and health monitoring in a compassionate team.

You will provide emotional support, engage residents in activities, and collaborate with families and the healthcare team while adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or ability to activate.
• Valid certification as a Medication Aide in Iowa, or ability to activate.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, medications).
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor health by administering medications and routine vital checks.
• Communicate with residents, families, and health care team.
• Encourage resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
