Job summary

UofL Health Cedar Grove Urgent Care in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant/LMR to join our patient-centered team. The role combines medical assisting with radiographic X-ray duties under physician direction, requiring state licensure and CMA or RMA certification.

Responsibilities include patient flow, X-ray processing, charting, sterilization, infection control and HIPAA compliance. Prior healthcare experience is preferred, with shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA or RMA certification.
• BLS through American Heart Association (required).
• Minimum one year of medical facility experience as a medical assistant/LMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patient, explains X-Ray, and takes exposures per protocol.
• Prepares patient information files and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Checks schedules, assists with patient flow, and helps with procedures.
• Maintains infection control and restocks exam/procedure rooms.
• Ensures HIPAA privacy and security compliance at all times.
