Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the ENT department. The role involves patient care under physician and APP supervision in an ambulatory setting. Be prepared to travel to Brandon, Carrollwood, and Wesley Chapel as needed.

Responsibilities include data gathering, assisting with examinations, and timely documentation in the EMR, while adhering to Orlando Health policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting) required.
• Maintains current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification -and- if hired after January 1, 2015, maintains current certification by one of the listed agencies within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to Orlando Health and department policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction.
