What You’ll Be Doing:

Our Centralized Leasing Representatives are the heart of our sales team, bringing people and apartment homes together. As a Centralized Leasing Representative, you will receive inbound calls from prospects nationwide seeking their next home. You will engage prospects in conversation to quickly build rapport and excitement through high-quality customer service. Conducting needs assessments by actively listening and answering questions about pricing, availability, location, amenities, and community benefits, you will help prospective residents find a community that meets their needs. Your efforts will contribute to Equity Residential’s goals of achieving qualified traffic, maximizing leasing potential, and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Handle inbound call volume, provide information about communities, and invite prospects to tour or apply.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to build excitement and loyalty, enhancing brand recognition.
  • Create guest cards in the CRM system.
  • Follow up post-tour to encourage rental and drive occupancy.
  • Guide prospects through the application process for a smooth experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of community features, pricing, policies, and amenities.
  • Understand and comply with Fair Housing Laws and be familiar with subsidized programs.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with onsite teams.
  • Participate in ongoing learning to stay current on industry and company updates.
  • Represent Equity Residential professionally at all times, maintaining courteous interactions with prospects, residents, and team members.
What You’ll Need to Thrive:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
  • At least two years of customer service or sales experience, preferably in real estate.
  • Excellent verbal communication and follow-through skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfort with high call volume, proper phone etiquette, and servicing customers via phone, email, and chat while using dual screens.
  • Effective communication skills to promote community benefits and drive traffic.
Salary:

$19 - $21 per hour. The exact starting pay will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Machines, Tools, and Equipment:

Computer with internet and email capabilities, headset.

Other Requirements:

Professional attire appropriate for a business environment is expected during work hours.

Physical and Visual Activities:

Ability to interpret and communicate detailed instructions, answer phones, attend meetings, and handle written correspondence. Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 10 pounds, and sit for extended periods. Accommodations may be made as appropriate.

Working Environment:

This is a remote position available in specific states. Candidates in California must relocate to another EQR market.
