Job summary

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Language Ability: Read and comprehend instructions, memos; write simple correspondence.
• Math Ability: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Computer Skills: No computer skills needed.
• Certificates and Licenses: Maintain a valid Class A or B CDL with endorsements; DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to destination.
• Maintains truck log according to regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck; cleans compartment after unloading.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, etc.).
• Performs routine vehicle maintenance and pre/post trip inspections.
• Assist location and Feed Mill Operator with operational duties as time allows.
• Ensure trucks promote a positive image by keeping interiors/exteriors clean.
