How We Work

At Schreiber Excavating, we don’t just fill roles—we build crews of dependable, accountable professionals who live our values on every jobsite. Here's what that looks like on the ground:

  • Integrity – Do what you say you’ll do. If you commit to something, honor it. Your word should mean something to your crew and your leaders.
  • Hard Work – No standing around, no wasted time. Be physically engaged, push the pace, and always look for the next task that needs to get done. If you're caught up, help someone else.
  • Determination – Every job comes with surprises. We expect our people to figure things out, adapt, and keep moving forward without excuse.
  • Teamwork – Sitework doesn’t happen alone. We expect clear communication, respect for the crew, and pulling your weight. Carry your load and help others carry theirs.
  • Results – High-quality work done right the first time. For a CDL Driver, that means safe hauls, reliable delivery timing, and no incidents.
  • Accountability – Own your role, your mistakes, and your wins. If something slips, raise your hand and fix it—don’t wait to be told.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license
  • Current DOT medical card (or A3 Exemption)
  • Must be physically able and fit for outdoor work
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and a team player

What It Takes to Succeed at Schreiber Excavating

We hire self-motivated people who want to win, and we expect everyone on the team to pull their weight. Here’s what that looks like:

  • Show up on time, ready to work hard from the start of the day
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and a hunger to improve every day
  • Think ahead—anticipate the next step in the process and stay one move in front of the crew lead
  • Ask questions when something isn’t clear. Guessing or waiting wastes time and creates rework
