Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks motivated applicants for the part-time Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) role in Ohio. This position delivers and returns Penske vehicles, moving box trucks up to 26 feet. CDL Class A preferred for tractors/trailers and English proficiency is required.

This casual on-call role offers 0–25 hours per week and requires a clean DMV record, valid Class B CDL, and the ability to follow written and spoken instructions. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required.
• Valid Class B CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• CDL Class A license preferred
• English language proficiency required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
• DOT regulatory compliance including MVR check, DOT Physical, and drug screening are required

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving trucks to Penske locations or customer locations.
• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order; report issues.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
