Job summary

Project Enhancement Corporation in Fort Chaffee, AR is seeking an adjunct CDL driving instructor to support the Department of Energy's Office of Secure Transportation on a part-time, as-needed basis. The role may lead to filling full-time vacancies.

As a member of OST training staff, you will deliver tractor-trailer instruction, apply mastery-level training methods, assess student performance, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of CDL with a clean driving record.
• 3 years of tractor-trailer instructor experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to CONUS locations.
• Ability to obtain DOE Level L Security Clearance.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Complete DOE Basic Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and Controller courses.

Responsibilities

• Serve on OST training staff at the Fort Chaffee location with responsibility for training DOE personnel.
• Provide tractor-trailer driving instruction and apply mastery-level training methods.
• Maintain and apply comprehensive training/learning methodologies.
• Lead and evaluate training effectiveness by observing student performance.
• Ensure training meets objectives and standards; manage course tasks and timelines.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Ensure safety and quality management principles are applied in all duties.
• Test students to measure progress and training impact.
• Remain flexible, proactive, and professional; support related OST training such as firearms and tactics.
