Purpose and Summary

Operates a truck with single, tandem, or multi-axle configuration for delivery and/or pick-up of agricultural products, following specified schedules to/from company or customer locations to support profitable business growth.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Operate all assigned vehicles, including trucks and forklifts, in accordance with safety standards and proper operation techniques.
  2. Conduct daily safety checks, including pre-trip inspections of fuel, oil, tires, lights, and brakes, and maintain a clean vehicle appearance.
  3. Ensure timely deliveries and pickups, promoting excellent customer service and professionalism.
  4. Complete and return all necessary documentation such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices accurately and promptly.
  5. Maintain accurate logs and records of cargo and other required documentation daily.

Other Job Functions

  • Maintain company equipment according to standards and adhere to the company's uniform and professional appearance policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of related experience operating tractor-trailer equipment, meeting company and DOT standards.
  • Demonstrate skills in business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a CDL with required endorsements, certifications, a valid medical card, and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work extended hours and be on-call as needed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits.
  • Occasionally work in extreme weather, noisy conditions, with dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and at heights; lift 51-70 lbs.
