Catholic Charities of Long Island is seeking a part-time CDL Driver to support our senior services on Long Island. Join a compassionate team delivering safe transportation and engaging activities to seniors and volunteers.

Qualifications include HS diploma, 2 years driving experience, NYS CDL with 'P' endorsement, English proficiency, ability to assist wheelchairs, and a willingness to perform center tasks. Schedule: 1–2 days per week, on call 8 AM–4 PM; Pay: $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of driving experience with basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Current NYS CDL license with “P” Passenger endorsement.
• Ability to read and understand English; communicate professionally.
• Desire to provide compassionate service to seniors and be flexible for tasks at the center.

Responsibilities

• Drive seniors/volunteers to and from centers, following safety procedures.
• Assist frail or handicapped individuals with wheelchairs when boarding/exiting.
• Maintain accurate daily logs: trips, mileage, fuel, receipts and payments.
• Assist with food service and kitchen duties at centers as needed.
• Help set up/participate in recreational or social events at the center.
• Pickup and deliver various materials and supplies as required.
