Essential Functions:
- Customer Service:
- Provides excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
- Responds promptly to customer and employee inquiries, guiding them through projects when needed.
- Expresses sincere appreciation to customers.
- Provides information on stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
- Contacts customers regarding deliveries and coordinates with drivers.
- In-stock:
- Plans and executes delivery activities, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Prepares loading tickets, pulls merchandise, and loads trucks according to schedule.
- Inspects products before loading and assists customers with loading when necessary.
- Verifies invoice items with loaded quantities.
- Clean and Safe Stores:
- Ensures loads are secure and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Updates delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
- Performs vehicle inspections, maintains cleanliness, and reports repairs.
- Completes DOT reporting for certification and compliance.
- Detects security risks and reports them promptly.
- Maintains store cleanliness and organization.
- Follows safety standards and operates store equipment as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A or B CDL License with endorsements as specified, depending on location.
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass MVR screening.
- Legal ability to obtain sales-related licensure.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
Preferences:
- Experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
- Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
- Experience operating forklifts or Moffett equipment.
