Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Part-Time CDL Class A Driver (LTL) in St. Cloud, MN to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck, delivering palletized freight and handling pickups.

The role offers a flexible schedule: 5–6 hours per day, Monday–Friday, or 8–10 hour days 2–3 days per week, with pay ranging from $23.00 to $27.00 per hour based on experience and route demands.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid CDL Class A license with a good driving record.
• 21+ years of age and high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission; willing to obtain doubles/triples endorsement.

Responsabilités

• Drive tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and pickup palletized freight and large shipments.
• Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure mechanical and safety readiness.
• Complete mileage and maintenance forms and submit load documents accurately.
• Deliver to customers and collect payments as necessary, return bills of lading.
• Maintain compliance with DOT and company safety policies; keep equipment clean.
• Assist with loading/unloading and collaboration with other drivers as needed.

Job Summary

The Part-Time CDL Class A Driver (LTL) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to delivery and pick up palletized freight and/or large shipments.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 8:30AM start - completion of route
  • 5-6 hours per day, 5 days a week OR
  • 8-10 hour days, 2-3 days per week
• $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
