Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is opening a new Missouri branch in November 2026. The CDL Class A Driver will operate tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and pick up palletized freight and large shipments.

Hours are Monday–Friday with 10-15 hours overtime weekly; OT paid time-and-a-half after 40 hours. Wages range $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Doubles/triples endorsement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Deliver palletized freight and pick up shipments on schedule.
• Verify load documentation and complete mileage forms.
• Collect payments as needed and return bill of ladings.
• Maintain certifications per DOT and company safety policies.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery or pick up.

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver (LTL) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to deliver and pick up palletized freight and/or large shipments.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 7:30AM start - completion of route
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
