Job summary

Meyer-Logistics-4 is hiring a part-time CDL Class A tractor-trailer driver in Orlando, FL. You will transport freight from distribution centers to Cross Docks and fill in for box truck drivers, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Expect approx. 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Mon-Fri, with start and end times varying by route. Competitive hourly pay of $25.00 and benefits including paid personal days, tuition reimbursement, and training. Great home time and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class A License with no restrictions.
• Ability and willingness to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver freight in a timely, efficient, and legal manner.
• Hook and unhook trailers, secure freight, and install/remove tire chains as needed.
• Load and unload freight, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain DOT-compliant records.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine equipment inspections.
• Report maintenance needs and equipment defects promptly.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

This Part-time CDL class A and backup Box Truck Driver position transports different types of goods from distribution centers to Cross Docks using a Tractor Trailer and filling in for our box truck drivers.

Pay and Schedule:

• $25.00 per hour
• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Start and end times may vary based on route, workload, and coverage needs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience (vehicles over 26,000 lbs.)
• Valid CDL Class A License with no restrictions
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Ability to meet all DOT medical and safety requirements, including drug and alcohol screening
• Acceptable background investigation results
• Ability and willingness to operate a forklift
