Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic with commitment to Catholic teachings.
• Experience in religious education or catechetical ministry.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit and train volunteers.
• Background checks and Safe Environment requirements completed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee Grades 1–8 religious education program.
• Ensure instruction aligns with Scripture and Church traditions.
• Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans and materials.
• Coordinate sacramental preparation (First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, OCIA).
• Manage registrations, attendance, schedules, and communications.
• Collaborate with clergy, families, catechists, and parish staff.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality.
• Foster a welcoming, safe learning environment.
