Job summary

The Salvation Army in Madisonville, KY is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to assist customers with donations, selections and purchases. You will operate the cash register, maintain displays, and help keep the store secure. Prior retail or donation experience is helpful and the role requires standing and light lifting.

Typical schedule is 28 hours per week with benefits such as PTO and AFLAC insurance for eligible employees. High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Able to operate a cash register and handle money accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers with donations, selections and purchases.
• Operate and maintain the cash register; respond to questions.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of displays; ensure security of items and cash register.
• Receive, sort, and prepare donated items for display; sort and price as needed.
• Hang clothes on racks and organize merchandise.
