Job summary

Ace Retail Group is seeking a friendly Cashier for its Westlake Ace Hardware store. You will handle register transactions, greet customers, assist with merchandise locating, and help keep the front end neat and stocked. Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED; cashier and customer service experience are preferred.

You must be able to stand and walk for shifts, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform related duties. Compensation is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store.
• Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build product knowledge base and assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.
