Job summary

Westlake Ace Hardware in Kansas is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our store team. You will handle register transactions, greet customers, and help with basic shopping inquiries while delivering fast, accurate service.

The role requires a positive attitude, good math skills, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Prior cashier or customer service experience is preferred; High School or GED is required; $12 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred.
• Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Process register transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Greet customers and assist with questions and store layout.
• Maintain front-end appearance and organized checkout area.
• Balance cash drawer and follow promotion guidelines.
• Support pricing, stocking and bagging of merchandise.
• Participate in store meetings and communicate issues to management.
• Ensure a courteous, helpful customer experience.
