Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout experience and help customers get the best value. You’ll engage with customers at the register, assist with payments and exchanges, and support other departments as needed.

In a dynamic retail environment, you’ll maintain accuracy at the point of sale, help customers in self-checkout, and ensure a clean, safe workspace while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
