Job summary

District Council of Madison, Inc., Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Waunakee, WI seeks a part-time, non-exempt associate for the SVdP thrift store. You will cashier, restock, and process donations to support community services.

The role offers up to 29 hours per week with a starting wage of $17.24/hour and a scheduled increase to $17.77 after six months, plus opportunities to help donor and customer service initiatives in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cashiering duties: operate cash register and process transactions accurately, assist customers with purchases and vouchers, educate customers on VIP and monthly Round-Up program
• Provide customer and donor assistance throughout the store by answering questions, anticipating customer needs, offering help and encouraging sales
• Restock merchandise on sales floor and price items as needed
• Pull and sort product in accordance with company guidelines and safety protocols
• Assist on donation dock by receiving and processing donations and loading items
• Help maintain cleanliness of the store by performing cleaning duties
• Support the effort to create a more inclusive and equitable organization
• Adhere to Safeguarding Policy by ensuring timely completion of mandatory training and staying updated on relevant training modules
