Cosentino’s Sunfresh in Independence, MO is hiring a Part-Time Cashier to join our Front-End Team. You will process transactions accurately, greet customers, and help maintain a clean, organized checkout area while delivering friendly service.

The role emphasizes cash handling, POS proficiency, multitasking in a fast-paced store, and complying with store policies and food safety standards. Prior cashier or retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain a liquor license and/or food handlers permit as required by the county within 14 days of starting.
• Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register and point of sale system.
• Cash handling, including counting money, making change, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Accurately receive and process payment for purchases by various methods (cash, check, gift cards, credit/debit, coupons).
• Follow procedures for transactions involving government assistance programs (SNAP, WIC).
• Issue customer receipts and change due to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and resolving issues.
